Our Program

Our program embodies our academy’s mission: we are filtering both empathy and equality through the classroom by including faith and focusing the academy’s specialization on Neurodivergent learners. This ensures that students from all walks of life feel included by gaining confidence in themselves.

Currently, Tucker Academy serves children in sixth through twelfth grade. Students will work remotely Monday, Wednesday and Friday; they will be in our brick and mortar building both Tuesday and Thursday.

Faith-based teachings are included through our hybrid homeschool program. Our founder and teachers alike come from a worldview of Christianity. Through our teachings, we honor God and encourage our students to walk the path He has created for each of us.

Neurodivergent learners are often struggle to find themselves in public school settings and are forced into boxes, which in turn, causes their wings to be clipped and their confidence to plummet. At Tucker Academy, we specialize in working with children whom face learning differences and we encourage them to take flight and soar!

Empathy and Equality are strong pillars found at Tucker Academy. Founder, Nichole Tucker, The Empathetic Educator, is a bold activist intending to forefront the movement to reform the education system by prioritizing empathy, equality and social-emotional support for all students.

Our program blends learning styles in order to individually meet each child at their learning ability. We try to teach children in the way that they learn best. Therefore, we pull from our satchel of knowledge and trainings, which includes: Orton Gillingham (OG), Charlotte Mason, Classical, Montessori, Multi-sensory teaching, Christian Teachings, Behavioral Analysis, Behavioral Modification, Inclusion, ADHD Training, Sensory Processing Training, Crisis Intervention Specialist Training, Public School Experience in Special Education teaching and lead positions.

Each year, Tucker Academy prayerfully selects a Scripture to guide our community - a verse that will shape how we teach, learn, and grow together. This year’s verse is Colossians 3:23–24:

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters. Since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”

It reflects our commitment to stepping up and setting ourselves apart. In a world filled with hybrid homeschools, microschools, and co-ops, Tucker Academy feels called to be more than just another option for homeschoolers. Here, while we build Christ's army within our walls, we are committed to developing a community where students are challenged to pursue academic excellence just as equally as they are taught how to develop Christ-like character that shines in every area of life.
