Meet Our Founder

Nichole M. Tucker, M.Ed.

Nichole M. Tucker is a Christian educator, advocate and consultant with more than 20 years of experience helping students learn in the way they were uniquely designed to. Her work is rooted in one core belief: every child deserves an individualized approach to learning. Nichole parters with parents to help me their child exactly where they are at to build them into who they are meant to become. Her faith in Jesus Christ is not a backdrop to that work; it is the foundation everything else is built on.

She is the Founder and Head of School at Tucker Academy, a faith-based hybrid homeschool program established in 2020, as well as the architect of Tucker Academy's Biblical Pillar Program . . . a K–12 faith formation continuum that’s been woven into every classroom and every teacher's instruction. The program is designed with a clear vision for the profile of every Tucker Academy graduate: a young man or woman who pursues academic excellence not out of obligation, but out of a deep, intrinsic desire to honor God , becomes equipped as a Christian leader that is prepared to think clearly, live faithfully and go make a difference in the world."

Nichole's expertise spans the full spectrum of learners! She works with students who are gifted, twice-exceptional, and/or anywhere in between. She develops individualized learning plans tailored to each child's strengths, challenges, and goals. Her specialized training includes structured literacy and reading intervention for students with dyslexia (Orton-Gillingham trained) and she brings deep training and experience serving students navigating dysgraphia, dyscalculia, ADHD, autism, sensory processing disorder, executive functioning challenges, anxiety, depression, and trauma. A former certified victim services and sexual abuse counselor, Nichole is uniquely qualified to serve students who have experienced significant trauma, including those who have been adopted. As someone who was adopted herself, she brings both professional training and personal understanding to these students and their families. It is no coincidence that today, more than half of Tucker Academy's enrolled students happen to be adopted!

Beyond direct student support, Nichole conducts homeschool evaluations, builds customized curricula, provides Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs). A core part of her approach is partnering closely with parents because she believes the adults in a child's life are just as important as what happens in the classroom. She is a Certified Teen Life Coach that has walked alongside countless teens and families through some of their most complex seasons. As a Colson Fellow, trained through the Chuck Colson Center for Christian Worldview, her faith shapes not just what she teaches, but how she sees every single student who walks through her door. She is also the proud mother of a United States Marine . . . a role that reminds her daily what it means to raise young people of courage, conviction, and character.

Nichole is an international, award-winning public speaker who presents at schools, conferences and professional development events. She is an Executive Contributor for Brainz Magazine and has been recognized on the CREA Global Award list and the ECDF Earth Literacy Awards list for Excellence in Special Needs Education.

She resides in the Philadelphia suburbs with her husband Jim . When she's not building Tucker Academy or serving families, you'll find her reading, relaxing with their dogs or spending time with her husband.
